we are living the cyberpunk dream/nightmare.
we’re already complex machinery, all tubes and pumps, electrical and chemical stimuli running all over.
we are already cyborgs, with all our tools that have become so familiar that we barely notice them anymore, even though we’re going at high speeds inside of them.
most of us already lead robot-like lives, not questioning much about what we are, what we do or where we’re going with it, or not bothering with asking the right questions in the first place. most of us too tired or distracted (generally both) to do anything out of the ordinary, waiting for the end of day rapture, the momentary lapse of freedom (or agony) when we close our mind to the external world.
and then i wonder, do androids sleep in electric sheets?
